The Golden World Story
Thirty
Five Years On
|
|
|
By the mid to late
seventies, Northern Soul had developed into a huge
underground scene and
it is fair to say that tens of thousands of discs from the
Golden World Recording Company now reside in the
United Kingdom.
Information has been
gathered, turned into discographies and printed in fanzines.
Fans were keen to know more about these unknown
Detroiters.
This photograph
shows one such fan, Dougie Ward from Glasgow in Scotland.
I am indebted to
Dougie for lending me his collection of Golden World discs
as the detail thereon provided the backbone for this
story.
