bobby sent in this pic of himself with sister sledge in Sigma Sound Studios control room A in
1976.
"The songs that we recorded were: "Cream of the crop", "Have love will travel", "Thank you for today," and "From me to you." I am the one with the cap. Check out the Afros!! During this time, they also recorded some songs in Detroit and I will research as to with whom and in what studio they were "

Hi guys and gals!!
I am sorry that the photo is a bit fuzzy.
It may have been caused by "smoke residue" from the previous session!! My "scrotum" invention is under the ashtray just to the left of Kim Sledge's arm. I put the ashtray there so she wouldn't be embarrased by the name of the thing.
She is not a smoker so I don't think she moved it, but the engineer may have!! Tsk tsk tsk!!!!!

It's a good job Bobby told us it was him...the sight of 4 women surrounding one guy would normally make me think of YOU.
LOL!!!!!

Bobby
Re the pic... you've explained the electronic scrotum - how about letting us in on the secret of your Chick Magnet?

Yeah John,
The good old days. The last time I was surrounded by four women, they were former wives and they all wanted money.

Bobby, was that you on the beginning of 'Mama never told me'?? I still think that is one of their best. I still have my original 'full price paid' Atlantic single on the shelf here. I wished they had more Philly hits, I think it suited them.

That was MOI!! indeed. It was a fuzz sort of thing. It was their first recording. Kathy was only 13 years old!!
Phill Hurtt produced it for the Young Professionals on Atlantic. This was several years before I came in the picture (no pun intended)
and right at the time of the Sons of Robin Stone.

Yep!! I know, I heard 'Mama' on the radio and went and bought it. It was not a hit 'til a year later. I took it to my local disco and they played it for that year, then it was re released and was a hit. I love it. Bobby, what can I say?
