Wasn't she from Jacksonville? A few years ago she was still gigging at disco/dance clubs singing with the prerecorded tracks. My favorite song by her was written by Paul Kelly--"Personally", which was on Columbia. | ||

The b-side of Personally - Ain't No Trouble Like Love Trouble is starting to get known on the rare soul collector's scene in the UK - I recently came across the same record issued as The Bottletopps featuring Little Jacky on Pink Bird - this was a William Bell Wilbe production. Another fine record from William who is forever linked with Stax but had a long career of excellent recordings after Stax including his great productions for Peachtree and Wilbe. Look out for a fantastic collection of his Peachtree recordings on the UK Grapevine label. Colin |
