In addtion to Barry's article on Paul Kelly - I have written an updated article on Vernon for the latest edition which forum members may be interested to read. It is based on a series of recent interviews with Vernon. He is still gigging and was recently on the West Coast. He is due to go back into the studios in Denver in the next month or so to record a self-penned gospel album. It will be produced by Sam Mayfield and as usual with Vernon it will be with real instruments. Best wishes Colin Dilnot Keeping Soul Alive Limited |

Colin, thanks for the good news, Paul Kelly and Vernon Garrett in the same issue, I can't wait no more ! By the way, on ebay, the first Vernon LP -item 4006499655- is actually at $ 405.00.That's his only LP that is not in my collection, but I can't pay that sum, and I'll try to get a CD ... And BRAVO for all your interviews in the mag !!! |
