HUGE Sister Sledge fan here. I read that you worked with them on some of their earlier recordings. What was it like working with them? |

Glen, I produced and co wrote 4 songs on Sister Sledge in 1976. They were: Cream of the crop Have love will will travel From me to you Thank you for today Those songs did not appear on any albums except various later day compilation cd's. They were a joy to work with, and made even easier due to the fact that I already knew them via Phil Hurtt and Tony Bell. |

Thank you Eli..I have all of those singles except "From Me To You" (never heard that one). "Have Love Will Travel" is an awesome dance song and should have been a big hit. "Thank You For Today" was an great ballad and really displayed what a soul singer Kathy was...she sang like a mad woman in church on that song. Shame those songs didn't really catch on. Some of their best work...btw, Joni was the one that I wanted to marry. |

I know this may be hard to believe but in 1976 or 77 when Kathy was in high school she liked my step son and wanted him to go on tour with them. Their respective parents talked about it and it was going to be properly chaperoned by her grandmom but my step son was not attracted to her and didn't want to go! (I still have my suspicions about that man.) LOL! |

Eli...I like "Cream of the crop" very much! You're the greatest writer and producer. Glencro ...I have a question. Please tell me if you know that. Did Kathy return to the Group, right? The latest CD recorded by 4 sisters line-up is sold through their official Website. Is the CD on the market? I have never seen it at CD shops. One more question; Lynda(Linda?), the tour member instead of Kim in the middle of 90s, do you know something about her? Her family name, career...so on. |

Katsu, My most sincere thanks go out to you for your wonderful compliment! From me to you was the actual radio plug side of Have love will travel, I do believe. I loved working with those girls. I am happy that I was able to lay a good foundation before their work with Nile Rodgers. |

NOSEY, even though I was only 10 in 76 I would have jumped at that chance...I guess after she got rid of the pig tails and got the braces, hopefully he had big regrets...Katsu, the new cd "Style" (which is very good btw) does feature all 4 sisters even though Kathy isn't doing as many leads as she did in the past. The four of them opened for Cher in Toronto a few months ago but I don't know if they tour on a regular as a foursome. A friend in the UK told me that Joni & Debbie were there promoting (he's supposed to send me a video of teh various tv shows that they just did) and that Kathy is in a play in Australia, I called the label regarding the cd and they said that it is still only available on www.sistersledge.com (don't know what's up with that). Linda (can't remember her last name) toured with Joni & Debbie in the 90's. She was an original member of the Motown group High Inergy. |

Eli...Thank you for your reply. I wish you will be active in music more and more. Glencro...I appreciate your answer in detal. I have decided to buy "Style" on their site. And I immediately searched for High Inergy on web, got to know she was Linda Howard! Thank you!! |
