Hi this is Kev-Lo well in my last thread I talked about the VanDykes being a underrated soul act. Here's anther underrated soul act that was out of New Jersey.Lee Williams and the Cymbals was yet anther one of those rare soul groups of the mid to late 60's that had a great soul sound and full of harmony.Although they had songs that just baily made the soul charts their late 1966 song I Love You More was deffinately soulful and should very much be up there with other great soul songs. They also had other songs such as Peaking Through The Window,I'll Be Gone and their 1969 hit Say It Is'nt So.Yes I say this was another rare soul act that should be credited for the great songs they made. |

Never fear Kev, us intrepid Brits have loved this group for many moons too...'It's everything about you' and 'Lost love' being my faves by them on Carnival...Carnival, now there's a great label. |

The Carnival sound was crisp and clear. Many of their recordings are excellent. There are 3 cd's on Ace/Kent, also something on Collectables. |
