Phil Spector was arrested Fri. morning at his home along with his driver. They had a fight over their working relationship and both pressed charges against the other so both were arrested. Each only had minor injuries. |

Phil Spector needs help, he is out of control. This type of behavior will not bode well with his ongoing legal trouble, it only adds more fuel to the fire. |

It may be shown that the who died in Spectors house may have committed suicide. There have been found powder residue on her hands, plus a broken finger (or nail) that would be very possible due to the kick back from that type of gun. Not that I am a fan of Spector (he did butcher the Beatles Let it be album and for that he should NOT be forgiven) |

I heard that Phil Spector was released but the driver was still in custody. I also saw on the news about the residue found on the shooting victims hands and that she may very well have commited suicide.Phil should NOT be guilty because he is wierd. And Goat, with all due respect the only time I really liked the Beatles musically was the solo records produced by Phil Spector. |

A few great Phil Spector records (imho): "Spanish Harlem" - Ben E. King "Gee How I Wish You Were Here" - Curtis Lee "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" - Righteous Bros. "Today I Met The Boy I'm Gonna Marry" - Darlene Love "Uptown" & "He's A Rebel" - Crystals "Be My Baby" & "Walking In THe Rain" - Ronettes The guy is whacked out, no argument there. I read his biography. But he made a pile of good 45's.

A person could have residue on their hands from putting them up in a defensive gesture while being shot ... So powder residue on the hands doesn't mean it's necessarily a suicide. |

Not on the back of the hands Sue. And the broken finger? That is common with those types of hand guns if you do not fire them correctly. (Message edited by GOAT on May 19, 2004) |

I am hopeful he didn't murder that woman. Who is saying it may have been suicide? Is that some- thing official or is it coming from his camp? He did a GREAT interview with someone from England BEFORE the shooting happened...He explained that he has suffered all his life with mental illness. I always heard his sister did too. Their parents are first cousins and he wondered if that has something to do with it. His early 60s records were great. What happened? By the time he recorded Tina he had insulted a lot of radio programmers and that could be why his records began to flop out. |

The man's crazy, to be sure--but aren't ALL geniuses crazy to some extent? Best, Mark |

Its amazing how denial works. He abused Ronnie Spector years ago--the man should have been hospitalized/incarcerated then. Most geniuses dont attack people. His obnoxiousness/dangerousness has been excused for years. |
