This girl has just nailed it with her first two performances. Her control of the crowd & her charisma is excellent. She is a winner!!! |

Sadly, Juice, talent has proven to be the kiss of death for these folks. Let's hope for the best however! |

I missed it. Someone should have alerted us that Clive Davis assisted in the grooming of the ladies. |

Hey Linda, how are you??? I'll yell at you later. This time it's ok. Simon has given her his "sympathy vote". She nailed all three of her songs & she handled The Greatest Love Of All wonderfully. When you have someone as respected & knowledgable as Clive Davis, giving real & accurate critique, these dunderheads couldn't possibly get it wrong again.......COULD THEY???? We'll see!! Honestly, these are the flattest singing folks that American Idol has ever had! Fantasia seems to be the only one who has a true emotional connection with the songs. Although Diana is singing the hell out of Don't Cry Out Loud. The performances during the verses was boring but....What a finish!!!! That was a big finish!!! |

FANTASIA WOW! It will be between Fantasia and Diana DiGarmo, but only if voters recognize true talent. Clive gave Fantasia the greatest props, and I'm sure she will be signed by his company. |

Fantasia nailed all three of her performances, regardless of the style or genre. Diana nailed her last performance. Although it was a strong performance, I hope that it won't sway folks from the OVERALL performances that Fantasia gave. Fantasia has made me a believer & if Ms London had half of her charisma, we'd be talking about her today. Fantasia has simply upped her game tremendously! |

I'm worried that Jasmine's going to squeak by and get to the finals. And I just don't think that out of 70,000+ auditionees, she should be in the top 3. |

Jasmine was atrocious. I don't think she's as innocent as she pretends to be, she's actually quite crafty--she knows how bad she is, now that's rare for a kid her age. Fantasia went to work on all three songs, especially "Fool In Love". Wouldn't be a bit surprised if she goes home... |

Congratulations Fantasia. She is fantastic. When Diana appeared on the first of the shows, I liked her and still do. But I think Fantasia's got it going on. Diana is a great runner up. She's young and has time to hone her skills even more. Shhhh don't tell anybody, but I got tix to see the show later this summer. They tell me I'm a bit old, but who cares! I'm looking forward to seeing Jennifer, LaToya, George, and yes, even Red (it will be in his home town) sing live. And of course, the rest of the group. The show last year was refreshing. Nobody was smoking reefer and nobody used the 'f' word. No drunken brawls in the hallway waiting for beer or bathrooms. How different!

American Idol has become the Barry Manilow of TV Shows. Everybody likes some Manilow songs, but no one wants to admit it. LOL When I saw Fantasia in the first few episodes, I latched onto her and picked her to win. The way this show goes, though, it ain't about the talent, and with the way this country votes, it's just luck that she's still there(look at Jennifer, George and Latoya). I think Diana's come a long way, but she still needs a lot of polishing, and she needs to get rid of those damn giggles("tee-hee-hee, tee-hee-hee"). If all is right with the world, by next Wednesday, justice will be served and Fantasia will be the next American Idol. Jim PS: I saw the second season's tour (just wanted to see Kimberly Caldwell-very hot!). I think this year's has better talent, though. |

"The Barry Manilow of TV shows" ha ha ha ha ha!! Thats hilarious but true. The songs that they pick for the singers' first releases suck. They all are those syrupy "you can make it if you try" sickingly falsly positive anthems. They are oh so saccharine and watered down. Tamyra Gray was on last night and she sang two songs from her debut effort. Pleeeeease....spare me. The girl CAN sing but whoever is a&ring those projects need to be fired. And that guy who looked like a bushman from down under. errrrrgh!!! |

Indeed, Bobby, this is capitalism at its finest. And for that reason I buy no merchandise (seriously -- they got enuf of me in the ticket price). But I still gotta go!! The only product with a brand name on it that I'll pay for and wear is "Life is Good" clothing. Oh ... and an occasionall Patti LaBelle tee. But I hear ya! |

I have just watched the video of last night's UK showing of this weeks American Idol Porgrammes, a full 180 minutes and it could have been cut to 45 minutes in total! - I have never used my fast forward button so much! Here in the UK the top three and The Final is all on one nights transmission and not much longer than the usual weekly programme,so why ssssssssssstttttttrrrrreeeettt cchhh it out to three shows and then a Final! Fantasia is the most talented left now, but I still find one or two tracks ar eenough for me? LayToya London was still the Real Class! - She will have to sit and count to ten until after the Tour, until the winner and runner up get releases to even start discussions, unless Cowell and 19 Management sing her and I don't think they will! No way was this weeks show's the best ever! John |

Hi John, Simon publicly said that the reason why LaToya didn't win was her cold personality (or lack of) (not sure of his exact quote). He really seems not to like her. So I agree, he probably won't sign her. She is older than most of the others, so perhaps it's maturity and class that keep her quietly confident? Whatever, I hope she comes up with some significant material when she gets signed by somebody, and not some of the other junk being put out there. |

LaToya is still a winner and will definitly be signed by a major company. She has real class and was unfairly voted off. Fantasia, IMHO has "crowd appeal", she has shown that she can connect with the audience. Her rendition of Ike & Tina's, "Fool In Love", clearly showed her showmanship. I wish the best for LaToya and Fantasia, they are both winners. |
