Does anyone have the video of the tv show from 1974-5 of Miss Martha Reeves performing several of her then 'new' releases from her then 'recent' lp on MCA, including Wild Night, Storm in my soul,Aint that Peculiar? and Many Rivers to Cross etc..?.She was sporting MARY HARTMANN braids and sounded just magnificent. I was lucky enough to catch it back then and have always wished I had a copy. TRULY! ...(Vcr's weren't invented as far as i know in 74-75) .I believe it was the show "IN CONCERT" (Don Kirschner)but it may have been (wolfman's)MIDNIGHT SPECIAL (Burt Sugarman?)Let me know if there's any chance of salvaging an audio or video copy of this legendary diva's musical extravaganza...truly soul full! |

LaBrenda, I sure wished I had that on tape or DVD...wish it was available.I loved the way Martha looked & performed on that.My fave pix of Martha Reeves is the back cover of that MCA LP with her braids. |

A brief clip of Martha performing POWER OF LOVE on the Midnight Special was shown during her HEADLINERS AND LEGENDS special. She had on a denim suit and was wearing an afro. Unfortunately, I've never seen the full performance. |
