BANKHOUSEDAVE, THEY HAD TO PUT THE GUITARS WAY OUT IN RIGHT FIELD BECAUSE THE CAMERAS THAT SHOOT THE JUDGES CAME FROM BEHIND STAGE. I DIDN'T EXPECT THEM TO GET MUCH ON ME.THE FOCUS SHOULD BE ON THE FUNKS. WE ALSO DID THE WAYNE BRADY SHOW,AND THERE WERE GOOD SHOTS OF EVERYBODY ON THAT SHOW.I DON'T SUPPOSE YOU GET THAT SHOW OVER THERE. THE MOTOWN 45 SHOW IS JUST THE FUNKS. RUSS, I WAS WAITING TO SEE IF BABBITT WOULD ANSWER,BUT HE'S ALL TIED UP TRYING TO GET HIS KNEE SURGERY DONE BEFORE THE NEXT DATES. THAT BASS IS A SPECIAL EDITION MOTOWN P-BASS THAT FENDER IS PUTTING INTO PRODUCTION.IT'S GOT THE MOTOWN LOGO AND PICS ON IT.IT WAS PRESENTED TO BOB BY FENDER,AND A SECOND ONE WAS GIVEN TO HIM TO PRESENT TO RANDY JACKSON.THEY ALSO GAVE EDDIE THAT WHITE STRAT. IT'S LIKE STEPPING INTO A TIME MACHINE AND GOING BACK TO 1965,WHEN I FIRST MET ALL THE GUYS.AS YOU KNOW,MY FIRST SESSION WAS COOL JERK.THAT'S WHEN I MET BABBITT,EDDIE WILLIS,AND JOHNNY GRIFFITH. EDDIE ASKED ME TO JOIN UP,AND PLAY WITH HIM,BECAUSE HE WANTED SOMEONE WHO WAS THERE,AND HAD LIVED IT.THERE'S NO WAY I COULD HAVE SAID NO.
