All,

I'm sure I noticed Soul Sister's moniker on the Jacko thread.

Hey SS - what is up with you and Mr. Scott - girlfriend? I am so glad to see that you all returned safely.

Anyway - when you get the chance - please give us an update on how swell Mr. Scott's shows turned out - out there on the Western Coast. I know everyone thought they were listening to an Angel when hearing him.

I'm glad you are back SS.

I sold my house and bought another one in Montgomery. Things are moving along smooth for me and mine - and I close on both houses next Friday.

Please holla back - girliegirl.

All,

Hey Soul Sister girl. I hope all is well in your "Get Down On It." I am so glad to hear from you. Thanks for hollering back - and for saying that you are glad to hear everything is working out for me.

Ironically - I started a new job 9 months ago at the end of this month. I am resigning from my job after 9 months. When I leave here towards the end of June - my mother would have been gone to "Soul Heaven", for 9 months.

To me - this is a sign that my daughter and I are giving and embracing a "New Birth." Nine months. We are going on to start a new life. I am soooooo happy about it - and happy for my child. Hopefully - she will go on to college at Alabama State.

Before school starts - which down there - they start the second week of August - I hope for us to visit "The Civil Rights Museum", "The Tuskeegee Airmen Memorial", the "Rosa Parks" museum - and the statue they've erected there in honor of Martin Luther King. My God - but I think they are all in Montgomery.

My father is there - and he will do the final walkthru for me. What better inspector to employ - but an ex-military man. LOL! I remember how he used to spit shine his shoes, with polish of course. He is such a capable human being - and I love him very much. He gave us such a wonderful life - and he provided us with a wonderful foundation for the future. He and my mother divorced after twenty-five years. "Where Does The Love Go", indeed.

Anyway - I am still rich with my memories of my life with both of my parents - and my father is so glad I'm moving down. His second cousin is the Mayor of Selma. He is from Selma, originally. Hopefully - we will have many moons together once I get down there.

Btw - my daughter told me a couple of months ago that she came in first place in the mile run during one PE class. She beat all of the girls and most of the boys. She has always done so well in running. When she was in the 4th/5th grades - she beat the boys and the girls in all of her running. My mother and I used to tell her - "You go girl." I looked at her that particular day - a couple of months ago - when she informed me of that - and I said right away - "You're joining the track team in your sophomore year." LOL!

May haps she can get a scolarship. Running track down south is a big thing. I hope she excels in it, indeed. As far as she is concerned - she is coming around to the idea of us moving down south more and more. One good thing about it is that - the school she will attend - hosts grades 10 - thru 12. So - I told her - that all of the other sophomores will be also be new to the school. I think that has helped her. She is my heart.

SS - welcome back - and please tell Mr. Scott I said hello.

Hey All,

Yes - SS - I am "Taking To The Sky - On A Natural High." I am loving life. I'm blessed. I figure - I'd better enjoy it as it comes - because it is too short - and nothing lasts forever.

My bad and duh - the "Tuskeegee Airmen's Museum", is in Tuskeegee. LOL! It is only about 40 miles away - though. I think I also had it wrong about the MLK statue. I think it is in Selma, although the Civil Rights Museum - has his words and face - are all up in the place - in Montgomery. You know - he marched to Selma too.

I was told that it is most def layed back in Montgomery - and especially compared to the Wash. DC area, indeed. I am ready for that layed backness. LOL! And talk about cheaper/inexpensive. I will be saving about $600.00 a month in expenses when I relocate. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Never the less - and just the same - I was born in B'ham - so there is no shame in my game. Alabama is in my blood. I used to walk around barefoot there when I was a youngun' - that is - until my cousin cut her foot on some glass after a rainstorm. Never walked barefoot since. What a tragic day - indeed - and in looking back. She cried and hollered. LOL!

When I was little - Willie Mays came to visit his aunt - who was my grandmother's next door neighbor. Ahhhhhh - such history. LOL!

Anyway - I appreciate your kind words and well wishes.

May peace and love continue to rain upon you and yours.

"WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET" & "I'M GOING HOME"
