In conversation with a dear friend of mine, he made me aware that 'Love Is the Message' is 30 Years Old in recording date this year. Well I must say that from this conversation I went completely into denial...lol...and then came to the realization that there are a few more jams out there that have lasted 3 decades along this classic...The year would be '1974', SDF...name the songs....(go ahead and tell us what you were doing too...) |

I discovered northamerican soul music at 14 years old in 1976, but at this time, one album or 45 was avaiable for some years and at my habitual record store was possible to find records from the sixties to 1974 or 1976. Also, i do some adquisitions after or much after that were realised originally in this year. Some of my favorites: -"Love Is The Message" (and all the album)- MFSB -"Don't Call Me Brother" (and all the "Ship Ahoy" album) - O'Jays -"I Can't Leave You Alone" - George McCrae -"Party Down" - Little Beaver -"Thanks For Saving My Life" - Billy Paul -"Whole Town's Talkin'" - Billy Paul -"Joy" - Isaac Hayes -"Power Of Love" - Martha Reeves -"Rockin' Soul" - Hues Corporation -All the album "Magic Of The Blue" - Blue Magic -All the album "Mighty Love" - Spinners -"The Love I Lost" - Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes -"City Of Brotherly Love" - Soul Survivors To name only a few that i'm sure was issued in '74.
