I have somewhere in the mess in my garage an album that my brother bought back in the mid seventies. The group was called Creative Source..there were 2 girls and 3 guys. (ala 5th Dimension) The singles they did "You can't hide love" and the other one was "Oh Love" If I can dig it up I would play it. There was another song they did that was popular and I can't remember it at the moment. Does anyone remember Creative Source? After that one album they just vanished. |

Man jrlo. I loved that first LP. I loved You Can't Hide Love, I still like it better than EW&F's version, though Maurice did a hell of a re-interpretation. I guess it's those harmonies & those happy memories of being 13. The song was peppy & I love that song, thanks for bringing it up it & Oh Love. I also loved Who Is He & What Is He To You. They turned Bill Withers version completely upside down. Magic Carpet Ride was great as well. That jam packed dance floors well into the 90s. I also loved their Disco hit, You + Me. Hello Everyone. Yes, another good act from the Mid '70s that should not be forgotten "Pass The Feeling On" on Polydor records ( from 1976? ) is my favourite by this act. Very groovy in an understated way, and similar to acts like UNDISPUTED TRUTH at their best. I love "Who is He" as well ( I prefer it to BILL WITHERS original ), and they also did a nice version of "Harlem" ( on the "Migration" L.P ) in the same vein as "Who is He" .. but in that instance I prefer the BILL WITHERS version.
