"Liting up" with LaBrenda... Click on "Divas" for the really nice and many photos by ALAN MERCER. FREDA PAYNE, appropriately foto #1, looks so grand and stunning, as ever, and without a "Band Of Gold". DARLENE LOVE, who I know longtime, is sporting her new look and she looks well. It's sure not the look of "Wait 'Til My Bobby Gets Home" nor even Trish in the four "Leathal Weapon" movies! MAXINE BROWN, who I also know a longtime, in her photo, even a bit distanced, can't hide that big Maxi "Oh, No, NOt My Baby" smile. THELMA HOUSTON is in a great laid-out pose, looks even better than years ago IMO and we'll all see her and hear her, "DLMTW", on "M-45" in a few days. DEE DEE SHARP looks great, it's surely not "Mashed Potatoes Time" and, like Jimmy Mac observed, very MARI WILSON (in a few years). The only questions: How come not one gal from any of the Motown Girl Groups -- DIANA (currently on the cover of Essence), MARTHA, LOIS, MARI, CINDY, SCHERRIE, GLADYS, WANDA, CAL, et al. And, where's RONNIE SPECTOR? In other words, we want more. More! |
