I was looking at etc an album by
Ashford and Simpson
titled
'the songs of'
programme 3
Motown Jobette Music Co. for radio stations only

how many of these programmes were actually recorded and sent on to the various jocks on the radio?

I know of other Jobette material
like programme 9
'Yesterday,today,and forever'
about Holland Dozier material

Jobette programme 2
songs-snippets of Smokey Robinson songs
by those who recorded them etc etc

but how many of these radio station albums were made for the sole purpose of the stations/jocks etc.

appreciate any info with thanks
regards

Hi Motown Mel!

I also am lucky enough to have that 'Songs of Ashford & Simpson' promo LP - it's got a forest green background right? I think it is way cool to have. On the back it lists 3 others in the sereis: Songs of Smokey, Songs of Stevie, Songs of H-D-H.

I have two of those LP's, but my Ashford & Simpson LP is showing them both on white background and on a motorcycle... great shot (in fact I bought it for the cover...)

I have two versions of the Ashford & Simpson LP on Jobete. It was issued first with a picture, in 1972, and after in 1974, the one mentionned by Bless You with the green background. I don't know if the other Jobete LP's were first issued with a picture ? Wonder, please, send us the scan, Valerie is so cute !!!

Valerie is a hottie LOL
I need to get my hands back on that LP...(I misplaced it a while ago and I am still looking for it)
If (and when) I do I'll scan it and post it here...
