We met some beautiful people in Japan, many remained friends we are in contact with. The gentleman with the glasses in center who's name is Jun, along with his companion Katsui travels across the world just to see Jimmy perform. From Nango we took a van, a bullet train, & a cab back to our Tokyo hotel for a few days before taking a van then the bullet train with another US group from CA. headed to the Meiho Jazz Festival. First we had a "gig"in Osaka at the Jazz On Top Club. The train ride was nice scenery with food & drink on board, I always ate sushi & green tea ice cream!LOL! Here are the photos:  | ||

The Meiho Jazz Festival is held in the beautiful mountain village of Meiho. Its quite a trek to get there, a couple hours by van or car from the jump off point but worth the trip, 40,000 fans made it up there to see Jimmy's performance, it was a spectacular sight! The stage:  | ||

We went to aclub on the opposite side of the main island owned by a jazz enthusiast named "Swifty"(who's name was given to him years ago by Count Basie, hense his club was named "Basie's". Hi SisD; The bullet train was amazing, like riding on a plane only more comfortable seats, you don't know your moving except for passing scenery which you could see fine even though we are moving fast. When I tried to take a photo out the train window our Japanese roadie laughed saying it will just be a blur cause we're going 185 mph LOL! Well here's that photo LOL!!!  | ||
