I hope that all of us on SD will be praying for Ray Charles. He is a jewel that can never be replaced. I can't get over the fact that he has had hits in every major category of music, blues, pop, country and R&B. His music has touched the lives of everyone including my own father, who was not a big music fan. | ||

1Wicked; Hi Baby, it will be nice to see your face in the place again along with Brother Love's!!  There may be some celebrity "suprise" guests in the audience (smile) Shhhh-------LOL! The show will be held at The Bones & Blues at 10950 South Central. Its very cool, a "new idea" in a setting to look like an old sugar shack in the country, its actually at hall type venue. Here's hoping he gets strong enough to perform again, if not on the road, then, at least in L.A. (if that's where he lives). Knowing how much he loves to see the enjoyment of the people he performs for, I'm betting that he will perform again. 74 isn't so old these days, as it was 50 years ago. I heard also that his old "Ray Charles Studio" founded in Los Angeles in 1964, will now open to the public, as a Museum. | ||

I've seen Ray Charles perform live a few times many years ago. He is/was one terrific singer with alot of soul. There are few that can really top him! I pray for him to gain his health back, but from what I am reading here, it doesn't look too good.  Nikki |
