I know she was on Prodigal so am I correct in assuming she was not signed to Motown directly?Did she make one or two albums on Prodigal? Im familiar with the one With A Little Help From My Fiends I think it was called--who were the friends?Was it any good? |

Prodigal was owned by Barney Ales and Motown dustributed the label in the US. I remember Shirley's album was issued on London over here, so it seems not to have strictly been part of the Motown set up. The album was a set of Oldies which Shirley performed with other acts - I recall the Drifters, Five Satins, and a few others of similar vintage were involved. I'm not aware of her doing any other album on Prodigal, but I may be wrong |

I don't think the lp included the single that was issued "I'd Rather Be Loving You" or some- thing like that. |
