Just had to take the chance to complain about Ticketmaster. I was just about to buy some MC5 tickets for the Majestic next month. After searching for the tix I was told I had two minutes to fill out shipping and payment information. Once I filled that out they directed me to another page that had LARGE red font saying fill out the info below in one minute or the tix will be released. I started to frantically fill out the info...before I sent the page I read the fine print and it said that by providing the above info that I was automatically agreeing to have my info shared with other people who might want to advertise to me. Whats more there is now a $6.25 convinience charge added to the cost of the ticket. More over there were two pop up ads that invaded my computer. Pay Ticketmaster to make money selling my name and info to other advertisers! kick out the jams "BROTHERS AND SISTERS" |

Ticketmaster = monopoly = SCAM!!! How can a venue that has no seating require a service charge of over $6.50? Whe I enquired I was told it was because of "seating" arrangements. When I told the lady on thephone there were no seats, she sat on the other end and said nothing. I rememeber paying about $10-15 and paying a service charge of $1-$1.50. Now those charges are $6.00+ It goes to show you that they are making money hand over fist and there isn't a damn thing anyone is doing about it. ...and the gov't went after crappy microsoft for their dominance. Somethings up? |

Sorry to hear about your experience with Ticketmaster. I guess I have been pretty lucky because I've always fared well with them online. Just this AM I managed to get a second row seat to an Etta James concert. I can't wait. |

The real kick in the butt is that if that event is cancelled for whatever reason your still stuck with the "convienience"charge. At least thats what I remember the last time something cancelled that I had tickets for.I miss the old days of buying tickets at the local record shop..hell I miss the local record shop not to mention records. |

AND THEY"RE LEGAL!!!! Scary, isn't it? Where I live, they call it scalping & extortion. Don't you just love these laws? It's kinda like the anti-Robin Hood, they take from the poor/middle class & give to themselves. |

In the big "D" if you do that they will haul your asz to jail. Highly illegal to scalp tickets in Detroit. (like the cops don't have anything better to do) Yet, ticketscalper gets away free and clear. ?????? |

I noticed that fine print before buying my tickets for the Rick James and Teena Marie concert. I was snowed in and breathed a sigh of relief when I didn't buy them because I would have lost out anyway. That is a shame isn't it? |
