Smokey was on the Today Show talking about his new album which is called "Food For The Spirit". Smokey said,"the album was 40 years in the making, and he considers it to be inspirational or spiritual". He said, "it is about his spiritual walk through life". I heard one of the clips, a song called "Mighty Mighty", it sounded wonderful. Smokey spoke candidly about his past addiction to cocaine and how he kicked the habit. In the 80's he was so addicted until all he thought about was getting high, but his life changed for the better. He happened to go to a little church and the pastor laid hands on him and it changed his life, that was in 1986. He also talked about his divorce and his marriage to his present wife, he had known her for 22 years as a friend. He had no plans for marriage after his divorce but she changed his mind. Smokey looked great with his dreadlocks and he seems to be very happy with his present life. The album should be a great listen, and I will definitly purchase a copy. mike s, According to an article on Smokey about two weeks ago in JET, the CD is on his own label, Robso. I have heard it can be ordered from his website, but I haven't been able to get to it. Anyone? |

I'm listening to the new Smokey CD right now!!! If anyone's having trouble finding it, you can always order it from my website, cdornotcd.com It's 12.99. Darn, I just noticed it's back-ordered. Sorry for the commercial. Anyway, Smokey sounds great! |
