Ritchie,
I know of an obscrue 45 by The Chi Lites it is titled "Love Bandit" and do you know the title of it's flip side. It came out on one of Bob Lee's label out of Chicago, and I was wondering which one of his many dozen of labels was it released on? |

Don, -The Chi-Lites' "Love bandit" was released originally on James sheltons' Daran label (no. 012)(spelt "Daren" on this record).
I believe it was re-released on Dakar, but it was a later, re-recorded version. Is that correct?
I don't know of any other labels it was on before 1972. After that, I have no idea. |

Don:
"Pretty Girl" was the flip side to "Love Bandit". Both sides were released through James Shelton's Daran/Ja-Wes imprint.

The Chi-lites re-recorded "Love Bandit" in 1978, during the group's tenure with Carl Davis' Chi-Sound label.

Wasnt 'pretty girl' the A side?
I have an obscure 45 on the Daran label with the Chi-lites backing up an artist but will have to dig it out as I cant for the life of me think who it is,

check out the Chi-lites Blue Rock dancer title 'she's mine'
blows everything else away fo me anyway.
