Okeh heres a few oldies from yester-year from my collection and years on the uk rare/northern soul scene........ some you may/may not of heard...... Marie Adams-thats the way to get along-Encore records a once obscure 60's L.A. dancer backed up on record by the Tommy Dodson allstars. The Moovers-one little dance/someone to fulfill-Deep City records a once rare release on this local Miami label before Brent records released it.Nice double header. Gene Thompson&The Counts-wont you let me know-Ace good 60's dancer. Lance Hill-make my love a hurting thing-Bang Bang records another version to the same record as done by William Cummings on the same D.C. Label. Allen Cromer-my soul thing/you you you-Edge records. yet another good double header that was obscure and 60's. Edge records was/is a division of the New York Rim Record Label. Benny Curtis-make it know-Bridges Label rare 1st version of Benny C. Olivers one time biggie on the Jobco record label. mel(andthensome) |

Benny C.Oliver (& The Mellow Men) is in fact Benny Curtis, but imo the Ojobco (note spelling) 45 is a far superior version. Love the Moovers 45...but still find the piano/organ solo hard to listen to as I'm sure he hits a bum note or two within it...ouch! |
