Just saw Kill Bill Vol. 2 and unlike Vol. 1, which was mostly cartoony kung fu action, the sequal is filled with the kind of pop culture-referenced dialogue that Quentin Tarantino is known for.
There's a cameo by Samuel L. Jackson where he's an organist in an old run down church in the middle of nowhere near El Paso. It's a wedding rehearsal that's about to become a scene of carnage that sets the whole story in motion.
Anyway, they ask Jackson's organist character if he can play "Love Me Tender" and he responds that he used to work with Rufus Thomas and adds, "I've been a Drifter, a Coaster, a Drell, one of the Gang, a Bar-Kay...if they done passed through Texas, I done played with 'em".
Cracked me up and I thought about all of you here on the SDF!
