The Robert West Story
Flick

The Falcons

With Flick Publishing listed on the Bumble Bee 45's, one would have thought that the record label would have sported the same address on Ryan.

However, early issues show that it was actually based at 18424 Gallagher, which is half a mile from Jackpot studios.

So Ron's theory regarding the Ryan addresses sounds good and perhaps the Gallagher address was Robert's home at that time.

Whatever the background, the label would make a stunning debut with another Falcon's record, "You're so fine".

Featuring the same line from two years earlier, it was written by Finnie and Schofield and sold well locally before being picked up by United Artists subsidiary UnArt.

UnArt2013 was released on 6th April 1959 and achieved Pop #17 and R&B #2.

It is now a BMI award winning song.
