Thelma Houston - "Reach Out [[I'll Be There)"

My understanding is that this song was recorded by Thelma with production by Clayton Ivey and Terry Woodford and arrangement by Ted Stovall down in Muscle Shoals in 1974. I'm only aware of it ever being released on the vinyl-only, "Motown Superstars Sing Motown Superstars" in 1983. Not a surprise, but Thelma really does great with this track and gives it the "Thelma treatment."

Since it's only been on vinyl, does anyone here have a clean, high-quality digital [[MP3) copy of the song they would be willing to share? I've only ever heard a really bad quality copy that was basically someone videoing their record player playing it, so it's tinny and thin and, in a word, sounds awful.

Not trying to offend anyone here, but knowing where things seem to stand with Universal anymore, I don't think there's much chance of this track [or a Thelma box set!] ever seeing the light of day anytime soon.

These are three excellent Motown releases featuring unreleased songs. I was unaware that the three of them were ever released on cassettes as shown on mysterysingers post #4. I have all of them buying them when they were actually released.

It totally escapes my intelligence why they were NEVER released on a CD. Does anyone know why they were not?

Many years ago, I stumbled across "From The Vaults" on cassette tape and snagged it, but I remember a collector friend had it on vinyl. [Heck, I might have it on vinyl somewhere--I haven't looked through my records in years!]

I, too, don't know why those three compilations never made it onto CD back in the day. Many of the tracks have since made it to official releases, but there are still a few [such as Thelma's two tracks] that never made it.

Thanks to all who have visited this thread so far!
