Although we are all "freakin" in the Orlando area I plan to have a personal Soul Music Extravaganza at my house until the power goes out.I have put plastic bags all around my record collection in case my roof goes."I'll Keep Holding On".

Believe it or not Tony, we in the UK have had pretty extensive reports of "Francis" and how it's being tracked over the last couple of days.

Rest assured, even though you are a long way away, our thoughts are with everyone in the Florida area, right now.

Two Hurricanes in as many weeks is no joke.

I hope it passes quickly with minimum dammage and no loss of life, but if it comes to you or your records............well, you know what I'm gonna say don't you.

Most of our homes have minimal damage from Hurricane Charlie 3 weeks ago today....now I'm afraid 60-70mph winds we are expected to get will do my roof in.The worst part is being without power, dealing with the heat & no A.C. we have become spoiled.I did not board my windows cause the worse is suppose to be south of Orlando...if it doesn't change course which happens all the time. Thanks Richard & Johneflat.

Best of luck in this. I've been following the situation closely on the news.

Tony,

Hang on in there!! I hope that all goes well & that the storm blows itself out before it reaches land! I have family down there & my cousin is in Florida with her son. They were going on a cruise, which is cancelled. They're stuck there & are staying with my sister in Lakeland.

I hope that everything goes well for everyone!

Tony, I'm sure you and Karyl will be fine. I'm trying to think of appropriate music for the situation. Can any of you name the appropriate songs??? :-) Be Blessed. Keep us informed.

I wonder what Karyl is going to listen to in that closet of hers. Karyl do as Tony and wrap your 45's up in plastic. Be sure to take DRuffin's Previously Unreleased in the closet with you. Don't forget the blankets Karyl. :-)

"Blowing in The Wind"
"Gone With The Wind"
"Rain Drops"
"Upon The Roof"
"Wish it Would(n't) Rain"

Dear Tony,

I am in Polk County (Davenport). Good luck over the weekend! Hope you stay safe (and the vinyl stays dry too!! I'm thinking of sleeping in my record room in order to be on hand should anything "untoward" happen to mine!!)

Regards,

Dave

Hey Tony, I think I remember reading you are in the Sanford area. I am in Winter Springs, a little south of you. Right now there is a such a calm in the air, it's almost eerie. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you.

Sis, I have my walkman all ready with new batteries! Don't forget about:
In the Rain
Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head
Rainy Days and Mondays
Rainy Night in Georgia

What a concept, in the closet listening to DRuffin! I guess I'll have to take this whole hurricane thing IN MY STRIDE! :-)

When you walk, through a storm, hold your head up high.

Check in when you can.

WOW, its been a Long labor day week end.My house is still intact, trees down all around but none on my house.Dave Moore, hope you are alright as the eye was nearer to you.Karyl, was it not crazy the way it just kept goin & goin.I lost power Sunday morning about 8:30am but got it back last night at 6:00PM so that wasn't so bad.Now we got IVAN to deal with this coming week end. Thanks everybody...my brother Randy left his apt. to stay at my house & put his car in my garage. Dee Dee Sharp called Randy on his cell phone during a heavy rain band we were getting Sunday afternoon...thanks Dee Dee for your prayers. But as Little Milton says I beleive "We're Gonna Make It".

Tony, glad to see you here in one piece and with power! YES, it was crazy and yesterday with all the rain and the tornado scares was almost as bad. I was lucky and didn't lose any power just 6 shingles from my house. I hope and pray Ivan doesn't want to come our way, so let me add:

I Can't Stand the Rain
