Does anyone know who the musicians were on the 70's Supremes recordings? The sound had changed by then.....was it still the Funk Brothers? Was most of their 70's stuff done in LA?

If I'm not mistaken, the FLOY JOY album (1972) was recorded in Detroit. The credits on the back mention both the Funk Brothers and the Andantes.

There are musician credits on the Jimmy Webb album as well, but they weren't the Funks. I think this album was recorded in LA.

For the albums THE SUPREMES (1975), there are no musician credits. Although I do recall some of the songs being produced by Wishbone, Inc. I believe they were a Southern firm, but I'm not sure.

The HIGH ENERGY (1976) and MARY,SCHERRIE, AND SUSAYE (1976) albums might have been done with some LA musicians. Maybe HDH did some sessions in Detroit, as well.

Dr. Teddy Harris, who was the Surpremes musical director in the 70's, has not been doing so good. They had an appreciation benefit for him here in Detroit at Baker's Keyboard Lounge not too long ago.
