I still to this day i love the music of Jr. Walker cause the Funks was swinging & groovin' like hell and I couldn't wait for Junior's sax solo or sax breaks, it gives me goose bumps thinking about it - they was swangin'. Hi Mel, Many thanks for sharing your pics. I especially enjoyed the photo with the Major. No offence but what kind of door policy did they have at the All Nighters in the 70�s? White fooks only!?!? Hey Dutch..... good query. although I myself am amazed by it. my days from over the years, from the clubs etc ,I have met so few. Thats the way its always stood. as regards a colour bar colour is of no matter at all. Just odd that it has so few bro's/sisters club wise. I have a good few black mates from '71/today. so to:- mopsy-mecca '72 used to do plastic acetate cuts all the real plastic with all acetates cut this way.A 1 off to this day. Leroy-'72 good mate wore a black bomber coat displayed with the Bell Records Logo motif.A first at the time. Big Willie-6ft,5'-Ike Turner look-a-like worked for the civil service. Levi-Liverpools Toxteth ex-Torch goer. big G/Latter lover. First met we spoke for hours about Mr Latter etc. etc. Curley-From the Notts area. good laugh.
