yep Carl that last one was it. They were on for about 20 minutes They also played a live version of Spyders Stand by me which will be out on his new live CD. They found the interview so intresting and loved the Stand by me cut that they asked Spyder and Clay to do an hour interview in Sept. which he agreed to.later they called back and said that they had allot of calls an emails and so much interest they asked if he would do 2hrs. in Sept. Clay did talk about Pree. Not that much about CD as much as that she will be doing backround vocals for Spyder

Gee - I could not get audio on the link - I just had an announcement saying the service was not available! I am pleased it was a good interview. They work well these American link ups. Great programming and content. Hopefully I will be able to hear the next one, unless I can get it from the archives on the net. If I find the url, I will post it here....

The internet service on this station is not available until October. Unless anybody recorded the tranmission off air in Manchester and can MP3 it via email, we are snookered! I have tried to get it from the station, with no luck.

Hey Spykie,

Sounds like you're putting together an "allstar cast" for your background singers..have you thought about a "guest background singer yet?"..that guy who sang briefly with the "spinners" would also be an excellent choice...things that make you go "hmmmmm?".. how you like that one Gee?

And how can I hear Clay and Spyder?

That "Magic Of Motown" programme was a bit of a let down.....I cringed when I heard such facts as...the Temptations (of papa was a rolling stone fame) was formed from the elgins (of heaven must have sent you fame). OMG!! But what is concerning is that this is my history that people are messing up! I was not best pleased. I noted that there was not a single Diana Ross led song in the so called "public's top 10" - hmmm!

I have only heard a little of the Radio 2 programme. I need to chop chop before they remove it from the web site. I do not think we will be able to hear Clay and Spyder sadly. Maybe we will have to go to Detroit John and interview them ourselves next year with David and Harry!

If you missed Clay and Spyder's Interview not to worry The response was so great over 700 phone call and numerous e mails the best response they have ever gotten they are going to do a special 2hr program sometime in Sept or Oct we are working on a exact date right now and their internet link will be back up so everyone can here it who's intersested.Also we are working on Spyder going over to England in April or May to perform will update everyon as soon as dates and venues confirmed also working on Scotland. He would be bringing his whole show except their is no plans at this time to bring any Guest background singers sorry Jimmy. Now on the subject of Back up singers. Jimmy last Thursday the Shades of Blue showed for Spyders rehersal and voluntered to do some guest back up vocals for Spyders Show and then we have to deal with that short guy who shows up at the Greektown Shows who just all of a sudden he appears singing back up I believe he runs the place and you forgot to mention Natalie with all these people we are going to have to rename the back up From the STS(Spyder Turner Singers)to STC(Spyder Turner Choir)

The internet link up was not up until the day after the show ( blame the beeb )
But we have invited both Spyder and Clay back on to the show in the near future to do a special on them maybe one or two hour each. When we are back on air in mid October. And you will be able to hear the show via the web by going to

you can check out who we will be interviewing by going to;
http;//soulsurvivors.mysite.wa nadoo-members.co.uk

I will certainly try to get it sorted out for all to hear in whatever format I can get sorted.
we hardly got the chance to touch on everything we wanted to know, hence the fact I asked if they guys would please allow us to do a very special one or two hour special on each of them.
So please check out our own web page for details of the date we will be airing the specials plus other fantastic interviews with special guests.

yes that is correct it is just a small tempory fun site to keep our listeners informed whilst we have been off air due to the sport over here in the UK.
We are in the process of creating a full site but as you can imagine all that takes time.
