Does anyone know anything about the 45 by the above?

The two sides are called, "You Got Me" and "Take Me" - both of which were written by Al.

"You Got Me" is a thumping, early 60's R'n'B tune, which Arthur West co-wrote: Who's he?

I notice that both sides are Flick Publishing, so perhaps Al was a Detroiter hooked up with Robert West, owner of Flick, Contour, Lupine, etc'?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Graham, I don't have any biographical info. on Al Haskins but I agree there's a link with Robert West.

I'm sure Don Robey knew Robert West from the deals on the Bobby Williams tracks if not before
- Robey had been picking up Detroit records since
at least 1957.
