Shouldn't "Baby I'm Yours" read (Barbara Lewis-Atlantic) ?

And "We're Doing Fine" by Dee Dee Warwick should read (Blue Rock, instead of Mercury)? (even though Blue Rock was a subsidiary of Mercury).

Otherwise, Harold Burrage's M-Pac record should have been listed as mother company One-Der-Ful.

What a list....if I could only turn back the hands of time.........there was another thread about "Will music ever go back to being like this " ?...sadly the answer is no. Brother Mike these were my formative years and I must say that these tunes did more for me than Wonder bread ever could......er.......no offense Wonder B........and the band played on.......

Kdubya

Incidentally Mike there are only 5 or six songs that I dont have in my collection.....

11)It's Too Late, Baby Too Late- Arthur Prysock
(Old Town)
12)It's A Man Down There- G.L.Crockett (4 Brothers
25)You Better Go- Derek Martin (Roulette

33)For Your Love - Sam & Bill (Joda)
35)Candy - Astors (Stax)
30)Let's Do It Over- Joe Simon (Vee Jay)
37)The Loser- Skyliners (Jubilee)

Looks like I exceeded my initial estimate but I have never owned the ones I listed.

Now my jams were the Contours First I look at The purse and Agent OO Soul......look closely at the chart my brother...The Temptations Sing Smokey was the number #1 R & B album yet their hit on the singles chart as "The Ruffin" led Since I lost My Baby from the Temptin Temptations LP which came out after Sing Smokey......man those were some wonderful days....

Hello Everyone.

Yes. 1965 was a very good year for music.

Great question Chancellor, asking which tracks we DON'T own ..

Here are the ones I don't think I have.

9)You're Gonna Make Me Cry- O.V.Wright (Back Beat)
11)It's Too Late, Baby Too Late- Arthur Prysock
(Old Town)
12)It's A Man Down There- G.L.Crockett (4 Brothers)
23)I Got You Babe- Sonny & Cher (Atco)
26)I'm A Happy Man - Jive Five (United Artists)
27)No Pity In the Naked City- Jackie Wilson
(Brunswick)
30)Let's Do It Over- Joe Simon (Vee Jay)
33)For Your Love - Sam & Bill (Joda)
37)The Loser- Skyliners (Jubilee)
38)Sugar Dumpling- Sam Cooke (RCA Victor)
39)Got To Find A Way- Harold Burrage (M-Pac)

Which makes 11 in all, although I used to have copies of three of them .. JACKIE WILSON on a "Greatest Hits" L.P. "SONNY & CHER" on "Cruisin' 1965-KHJ Los Angeles" and O.V. WRIGHT on a U.K. 45 on the "Action" label. I also might have the SAM & BILL track on a compilation .. I shall have to check.

Roger
