Does anyone know when and where bass player/studio owner Frank Virtue died? And I'm sure Bobby or Weldon could tell us a thing or two about his popular studio and some of the hits recorded there.

Frank passed away in 1987.
He was sixty five.

His studio at 1618 n Broad street opened in 1962 and it ran for well over twenty years at that location.
Before '62 the studio was in his basement on fayette stret where Guitar Boogie Shuffle was recorded.

Among the songs recorded at Virtue studios were:

Yes Im Ready and Barmara Masons earlier records
The Horse
Boogaloo Down Broadway
Hey There Lonely Girl
You're A Big Girl Now
Storm Warning
Lets get Together Now-Aristocrats
Most of the Harthon stuff

I have a few Barbara Mason Arctic tracks and probably most of the Eddie Holman Parkway material. Eddie, Jr. sent me a copy of the CD some time ago.
