Hi Jimmy; I heard Etta wasn't feeling well in recent months. "Brother Love" may be able to shed more light on her condition at this time. Jimmy, lets not forget: "At Last", "Trust In Me", "Fool That Iam"' & "Damn Your Eyes", just a few of my most favorite 'Etta' tunes!!  S.S. | ||

According to Essence (or maybe Jet) Magazine. A month or so ago I beleive... Etta's looking good, she's lost a lot of weight and she looks well. They had a before & after photo or her. I had bought tickets to see Etta tomorrow night. However, her tour was cancelled back in June. It was due to illness, from what I read. I gather it was (is?) something serious if an entire tour was cancelled. | ||

Etta was intending to see Jimmy's show in May in L.A. but didn't make due to being under the weather. I know if she was well , by the way she loves her some Jimmy Scott, she would have been there. Her health concerns me, I hope "Brother Love" can give us an update. S.S. | ||

Jimmy Mack, In my house when one of the girls does something to the other, it usually goes like this: "See, now I'm gonna tell gamma" "Go head. Tell mama...all about it....tell mama what you need...she's not gonna make everything alright for you cause you was wrong" "It's you were wrong" This kind of thing goes on all the time in my Little House of Soul. JohnE, I could've guessed that would be your fave. I mean the song starts out like something being dragged from under the porch and, except for the background singers, rarely rises above the basement level. You "bottom" dwellers are drawn to that stuff. |
