Good Morning All, I was wondering what you all thought about the name of Glenn's group. Check link below. Was Glenn Leonard's voice the falsetto closest to Eddie's? What about former leads starting their own groups? More power to 'em? I think I might contact the owner of the last link's website in order to buy a couple of videos. Out the door. I'll holler back. SS - I'll hit up the Olden Days thread later today - girlfriend. LOL! http://ca.prweb.com/releases/2 004/8/prweb146108.htm http://www.glennleonard.com/ http://www.thetemptations.ourf amily.com/catalog.html |

Count, Why is this your favorite? Could it be the earnest expression on David's face? LOL. I was going to start a thread on the 'personnel of the Temptations.' I was in a conversation with someone about their music, and boy, I was 'whipping them in the songs', but I found I could not name all of the personnel over the years...specfically from the time of 1970. If some one wants to take on the task of this, I would appreciate it if they could name it in this thread. One could start back to when they were the Primes if one wants too. thanks: DyvaNaye |

Morning All, You go Sean. You know you know your Temptations. DyvaNaye - below is the Official Tempts' website. There are pics of most all of the Tempts shown - although Sean's list seems longer than the amount of pics shown. Did anyone listen to Glenn's interview w/Maurice Watts? It was great. IMO - Glenn sounds more similar to Eddie Kendrick than any other lead that sung Eddie's parts/tunes. Man does that man sound good - and especially on "Silent Night" & "Give Love On Christmas Day." My God! And he sounds great on all of the other songs one can hear him sing from his site and when listening to the interview he did w/Maurice. Bless his heart. He stated that Eddie was his mentor - and that after the Reunion Tour - he decided to leave. He left on his own - and wasn't fired. He stated that the tour was the topper for him - so he decided to make the tour his swan song. I am listening to "Silent Nite" now. Dennis also tears it up! LOL! As for Glenn using "The Legendary Lead Singers of The Temptations" as his groups' name - I guess it fits - for he was one of the major lead singers of the Temptations. He sang some wonderful leads - indeed. http://www.thetemptations.com/ (Message edited by gogogirl on August 17, 2004) |
