Other than the fact that this song is just as relevant today as it was 30 years ago, I have a question about the lyrics. And if I had been a good boy and kept the 45 with the original picture sleeve, I think (there you go thinking again) it had the lyrics on it. I plan on using this song in the film (OK, Mr. DeMille. This is about the fifth plug on this web site today). The lyric that I am stuck on is reported on various sites as: "Oh, Great Googamooga" can't you hear me talking to you" Other sites have "great googalooga." I even ran across one that reported the lyric as "Oh, sing ooga booga, can't you hear me talking to you." I have one of the characters in the movie singing these words and I don't want him to look like a doofus (like you...do you tend to drink when you are online?). Thanks for your opinions and I appreciate you ignoring the rising negativity of my parenthetical self (I am not negative, you are just shameless, stupid and you suck). Cam |

"Ball Of Confusion (That's What The World Is Today)" was written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong, produced by Whitfield and arranged by Paul Riser. The song was done in two sessions at Hitsville in Detroit on April 12 & 14, 1970. The single was released on May 7, 1970 and peaked at #2 on Billboard's Best Selling Soul Singles chart and #3 on the Hot 100. "Ball Of Confusion" was officially certified Gold and Platinum by the RIAA on October 12, 1999. |

Cam, if that be the case you don't want the character to sing the wrong lines on his walkman if there is a scene on him doing that? If hardcore Tempt fans love it so, then I think they should get the line right "Oh, Great Googamooga can't ya hear me talking to you". Don |

Hey Cam. I don't know the lyrics but I sure had fun playing the intro on guitar with my fuzz tone and echoplex. |

Don is absolutely correct. Since it will be sung, it is not important that 'Googa- mooga' is hyphened in the musical score. |

Dennis my man. I don't know if you enjoyed playing on it half as much as I do listening to you on that intro. But if that is the case. You had a great time. Great listening. The alternative mix on the "Psychedelic Soul" album seems to have your parts mixed up hotter than what I remember on my 45 version. And what is a "Great Googamooga" anyway? Cam |

It's the next step up from a "pretty good" googamooga. |

Where does the "most excellent" googamooga fall in? |
