Ronnie Evans, comic MC for the Shirelles during
the 60s/70s and later for Shirley Alston Reeves
(former lead singer of the Shirelles) passed
away in June. I cannot recall the exact date
but when I spoke to Shirley on her birthday,
June 10th, he was on life support at a hospital
in Brooklyn.
Anyone who saw the Shirelles perform loved
Ronnie's introduction. He's also introducing
them in the rock & roll classic film "Let The
Good Times Roll" from the early '70s.
RIP Mr. Ronnie Evans!
