Happened to hear Riding High today which sparked a question: What ever happened to Faze-O ? Do any of the band members still live in Chicago? |

Chi Drummer, I have not heard that in a long time, I love that jam!!!! I put them in the same category as Slave. That is the only song that I remember by them. |

FAZE-O is from right here in DAYTON (Something in the water!)OHIO, I played in an earlier incarnation of the group (PHAZE-3). Recently ran into Tyrone Crum (bass) he is playing gospel now. Roger Parker commutes between here and Atlanta doing gigs and studio work. I heard Keith Harrison mey be back out with the Dazz band. I'll post mare info as I get it |

Johneflat, how did they end up in Dayton? BTW, met Roger when they came to Cincinnati. We talked a bit, but if you run into him again ask him this question: Did he ever find out who the woman was on the front cover of their first album? P.S. for you, are you in touch with Otis Stokes from Lakeside? |

Didn't the Ohio Players, or one of the members, figure in FAZE-O's success somehow?? |

You are correct. And that's why they call you the Wonder B. I asked Roger about the woman on the cover of Good Thang. At the time he didn't know, but said he'd sure like to find out. I never ran into them again so, I just wondered if he ever did. Your archive is unbelievable. That's just how all of them looked when I met them. |

That's interesting. All the time I spent in Dayton and never ran into them. I wonder why whenever I see something printed about them it always says the group is from Chicago (ie: Rickey Vincent's book, Funk)? Anyway, nothing like the testimony of someone who was there to get things straight. Tell either Stokes to say hello to their sister Diane for me(knew her at UC). Thanks johneflat. |
