WAS IN DETROIT TWO WEEKS AGO HANGIN' OUT WITH SPYDER AND GEE AND ANTHONY WILSON FROM THE GREEKTOWN, HAD GREAT FUN DOIN' KAROAKE WED NITE, AND LATER TONY SAID LET'S GO TO CHANE PARK TO CATCH WAYNE HENDERSON AND LO'AND BEHOLD , ONE OF THE ARTIST I PROMOTED WHEN I WORKED AT CAPITOL RECORDS WAS ON KEYBOARDS..MR. BOBBY LYLE.(GREAT SEEING YOU AGAIN BOBBY), ANY WAY THE NITE BEFORE I LEFT, SPYDER GAVE ME A "SNEAK PREVIEW" OF HIS "LIVE" CD...LET ME SAY THIS, WHEN I PULLED OUT OF THE VIP PARKING AT GREEKTOWN, YOU HAVE TO EXIT THROUGH THE VALET PARKING SIDE. I HAD ALL MY WINDOWS DOWN AND THE VOLUMN "FULL BLOWN" AND CRUISED SLOWLY WITH SPYDER'S VERSION OF "SIGNED,SEALED, DELIVERED" ...ABOUT 50-60 PEOPLE WAS "BOBBIN" THEIR HEADS , ...SPYDER, THAT CD IS GOING TO BE "OFF THE HOOK"

I'M DYING TO HEAR THE LIVE CD! Everytime I tell you how much I enjoy listening to the other CD you gave me, you tell me about the LIVE one. We should meet for breakfast some Sunday morning...you, Clay and Pree, Ed and Sue Wolfrum and Dennis and me (I don't know if you have a "significant othter" but if you do, by all means bring her). Think of the fun we'll have...especially you and Clay!

A party indeed, Spyder. Dennis and I just got XM Satellite radio, and I'll tell you, it's the best radio I've ever, ever heard! I found the Soul Street channel because Tony Russi mentioned it, and the first song they played was "Stand By Me" by our very own Spyder Turner! I'm ashamed to say that I vaguely remembered it, but when they played it last night, I thought it was a virtual masterpiece!! How did you do all those voices? I absolutely love Soul Street, and if you don't have XM radio, you should think about getting it!! Spydie let's plan a party - it's been awhile since I've stayed up past midnight!!!! Of course I might not have to if our party starts around 6pm! Where should we have it, and who should be invite??

Spyder,
I heard the live version on Soul Street (XM Satellite) and loved it...do you still do those impersonations in your show? BTW, where are you going to be during Dream Cruise? 12 Mile and Greenfield is what I think you said. Unfortunately, I won't be here that weekend because Dennis and I are going up to Harbor Springs then over to Traverse City. I'm sure you'll do a great job...is your partner in crime going to be there too??

Let me inform you that Mr. Spyder lives up to his name "Spiderman." He will have you spinning/dancing on his spiderweb even though you thought you had forgotten how to dance. LOL
Thanks Spyder for giving me the opportunity to listen to this great demo.

"Signed Sealed Delivered" certainly gets you in the groove. I'm always surprised whenever I play the CD, at how that particular song always make me start rocking in my chair. :-)

I love each of the cuts, as they continue to show your great ability in bringing out those notes. Nothing seems to hard for you.

You already know which song is my favorite. "Stand By Me." If Al Green were to hear your rendition of how he sings, he would surely offer you pay to be his understudy, or ask you to sing behind the curtains for him like Richard Street did for Paul Williams.

I had to smile when you sang like Diana Ross. :o) Another voice which you have mastered during that song is the one for Jerry Butler. It is great. Jerry Butler will give you a high five on that.

OMG, your rendition of Eddie Kendricks is so beautiful. I thought you did great on Smokie until I heard your Eddie Kendrick rendition, doing his falsetto as well as his natural, sounding just like Eddie. You really have great talent.

Your Levi was good, but then I was knocked off my chair when you did Obie. LOL.
Joe Tex is alive and well when you sing his voice.

The young people will really like "Let's Rock Tell We're Satisfied." Everytime I listen to that song, I can see you doing a music video. You definitely have the groove and rhythm. I hope you try and get it on MTV. If you do, then we, the more mature adults, will be back in the lime light.

This CD has been in my player for the past 3 weeks. I know when you finish it up, you will have a winner. One last point, I love to hear you laugh on the CD. Great job!!!!

In my opinion
Spyder is a superb artist(and then some)

I was first turned on to his music around 1970/71 thanks to our kid and his mates who were big collectors then and all around our area were all doing the Rare/Northern Soul all-nighters/soul nights etc.

And to this day I will never sell the all-time classic 45 of

'I cant make it anymore'
on MGM Records no.13692

with a boss flip of
'dont hold back'

This to me is a rare soul classic......
an absolute dancer that has it all.....

Spyder
myself amd my mates who are still around on the scene also regard this 45 as an all time gem.
All blown away and all up on the floor as soon as anyone spins it anywhere.

We all have the excellent album
etc plus others

'your good enough for me'
'stand by me'

your Fortune 45 plus others.

Have never forgotten way back then after hearing 'cant make it anymore' when a mate got the album and blew us all away.
All debating about your great vocals when taking off the various versions of the artists that cut the sounds first.

All arguing that it wasnt you but sounding so alike.
OUT-A-SITE.

Well Mr Turner
maybe some day we may be fortunate enough to hear you 'live'

Many thaks
from Mel and the uk Rare Soul Mafia
all rock solid bro's and sisters from
M/Side/Lancashire area
ever since 1963/present day

Keeping the Faith........

Hi Spyder, after 30-odd years of listening to soul music, I heard your 'I've Got To Get Myself Together' for the very first time. The 45 was on a British record dealer's website on auction earlier this year. What a fabulous record! The few hairs remaining on the back of my neck stood up!

No fairy-tale ending though! A more-deserving (and richer) person bought it. Hey Spyder, you can ride in my 225 (well 1.4) anytime!
