Saw her on CNN, she really did her thing. She sang "A Change Is Gonna Come" right after Bill Clinton's speech. |

Unfortunately, ABC, CBS, and NBC cut her off. Thank goodness for cable. I see Mavis Staples is due to appear on Thursday night. |

I agree! CNN and C-Span covered Miss Patti's performance without dialogue or interruption (thanks BroLove!). Hopefully they'll do the same for Ms. Mavis (The Voice!).

It annoyed me that many people were leaving or milling around while she sang a powerful, very "political" song-and many looked at her with such intensity and hope in their eyes. People should mill around when some bag of wind goes on and on, not when Miss Patti sings a song like A Change Is Gonna Come. |
