Mine too, Bobby, I just love that song, mmmm, mmmm mmmm...

Hey Brother Love;
Thought we'd see you at the baptismal sunday, we missed you. Howard Hewitt kicked butt singing "Joy"! Also Jeannie from one of the Motown backup groups (?), what a very powerful voice, wow! Soul galore!!
Hope all is well in your world.

Soul Sister,

I cannot believe the baptismal past me by. What is going on with my mind? To tell you the truth I simply forgot about it. I just called Mr. Ritz to give him my very best and my apologies for not being there.

The lady you are speaking of is Jeanie Long who was a member of one of all time favorite female groups, Sisters Love. Jeanie had said that she would call to remind me about the baptism but maybe it slipped her mind.

I here you when it comes to Thelma Jones Salty Tears, what a great song and what a great lady. The song was recently reissued on the CD "The Sisters Of Soul", on Sanctuary Records in the UK. It also includes her recording of "I'd Rather Leave While I'm In Love". I wish I had known you were in town I went to see Thelma last Saturday night and she sang your song. She is someone that I really consider a true friend.

Hey Brother Love;
Thanks for the 411 on Jeanie Long, what a powerful voice, she was awesome!!

Wished I could have saw the Thelma Jones concert. Had Jimmy & I known about it we would have went to her show.
I have "Salty Tears" on Felix Hernandez' Rhythm Revue Boxed Set, along with alot of other awesome tracks in that collection, but I think "Salty Tears" is my fave!!:-)

Brother Love, catch you one of these times in L.A. soon.
Best,
S.S.
