Are you familiar with Frankie Gearing? She was a member of this group and was later in the Hi Records act Quiet Elegance. There's a whole back story to the Glories, which involves the Steinways on Oliver (more Northern soul) and some other collectable soul heroes. Best, Mark |

With eight singles to their credit the Glories are long overdue for a CD compilation of their work - it's a crime that there is so little of their work in print. I was always amazed that "Give Me My Freedom" wasn't a hit - it should've been huge. |

Millie Scott(Milderd Vaney) was in the Glories. She was a school mate of my late wife, at Beach High in Savannah, Georgia.. My fave was Lullaby of love. |

The Glories did a version of "Lullaby of Love"? Interesting...I only thought the Poppies did a version of that. Best, Mark |

I have the CD of Quiet Elegance with members of The Glories and Lois Reeves of the Vandellas. I really like that CD. Does anyone know if they sounded similar to The Glories, since 2/3 of the group was the Glories? |
