Hi Weldon Joe will be interested in the next SD story; it's about Mike Hanks. He was one third of The Fabulous Peps. |

I don't know whether it's Joe or one of the original female vocalist of Undisputed Truth. I can't think of the guys name, I think he recorded a album for Motown back in the 80's. Anyone may reconize him when he played a scene in The Jackson's made for tv mini series. Can't think of the guys name right now. Anyway, what I'm getting at that I read about Jamie Fox will be starring the lead of the live of Ray Charles. Usher is considered to play the starring role based on the life of Sammy Davis, Jr (I don't think so I think Cheetum is best suited to play Sammy and should continue to play Sammy since he did a splendid job in THe Rat Pack film). And if anyone we're to play a made for movie or a mini series made for television, it should be this guy I'm referring to, who should play and star of the live of Jackie Wilson that's being talked about on the hush-hush. IMO, The best Jackie Wilson would have to be Howard Huntsberry of the groups Klique and T.U.M.E. and Samy should be played by Tommy Davidson. |

I think that be a good idea Philly'ssoulman. I always thought Tommy Davidson was a great Sammy Davis, Jr charactor actor in the first place. There's also A guy who's name escapes, he's doing The Jackie Wilson Story on broadway here on the northside (toast to the host side) I heard he's does a great and exciting job potraying Jackie. He co-starred in Cooley High as either Stone or Robert. Hey Bobby, my friend Larry says Stone & Robert we're real life charactors around Cabrini Green Housing projects, where the film potrayed in 1964 Chicago. Don |

Bobby, nice that you mention T.U.M.E... I have been looking for info on this band for quite some time... I recently found the promo pic with Howard Huntsberry (way before his KLIQUE days...) and I have to agree ... here's a fine singer... Howard is the one sitting on the stool on the right... Wonder B If you mess with the 'fro, you gotta go! |

Hey Don, Are you talking about Chester Gregory II? He did the Jackie Wilson story for about 2 years. I went to go see it two weekends in a row! The show closed in 2002 or early 2003. I hope Chester has a sucessful career in the future. -Steve |
