Damn, Sue, you ought to write for a living or something! You must have some really good editors -- and even better copy editors! |

LOL Vic -- Copy editing is a lost art, as you know. Most newspaper copy editors spend their days paginating now. I miss the crusty old guys who never let any mistakes through ... |

Another great article from the wonderful Susan Whitall. You are to be thanked for your continued attention to the "oldsters", the ones who are the foundation of our musical history. |

Great article, Sue. When I read that Lawrence Payton died of Liver cancer, it kind of reminded me of my aunt Maureen who died in May of a rare form of liver cancer. Anyway, great article. |

Hey folks, let me clarify. I just mentioned to Deborah that I thought Sue should write a book about The Four Tops. She thought it was a good idea, but she never agreed to it or anything. I would love to see a biography of the Four Tops come out - it's an inspirational story, and I would buy a few copies for myself and to give away as presents. So Sue, if you're monitoring - how about it? Margie |

Sue Glad to see you sneak "Ask the Lonely" into the article. I think everyone on Soulful Detroit agree that this is Levi at his very best- which means it is one of the defining moments in music. I hope your right that the great one sings next week. Mice job |

Hello Everyone, That is a wonderful article about the Four Tops. One of the greatest groups with the greatest stories in the history of music, and it does my heart good to see them get the credit they so richly deserve. |
