I have heard different versions of this good tune, all by Jimmy McCracklin, that he recorded at different times during his career, for different labels. I have what I think is the last that he did for Stax around 1970. Can anyone tell me dates and labels of other recording of this that he did. Thanks Keith Herschell - London |

He did it earlier on Imperial around 1965 - I think that was the hit version. |

I think he did "Think" first on a local West Coast label. It was black with silver writing. I think it was Art-Tone Records. But, I'm not positive it was that label, and not 100% positive it was on a smaller label before Imperial. |

The hit version was on Imperial 66129 ( # 7 R&B, # 95 pop) in October 1965. I can't find any sign of him recording it for Art-Tone. He may well have recorded the song prior to his stay at Imperial but it's not a case of Imperial picking up a master from a smaller label as "Think" was his 13th single for Imperial. |
