Just the other day, we had the confessional of Mr Benet. Obviously not wanting to be left out, the "husband" of Brandy had his own little bombshell to drop on us.

Yesterday on UPN News & on the Wendy Williams radio show, Brandy's "husband" came on Ms Williams show to state that he & Brandy were never married. He went on to say that he was living with someone at the time & that he's still with the woman & she's like 7 months pregnant.

It seems that he went along with the "married" story to propagate & protect the wholesome image of Brandy. I say that he should have shut up & said nothing.

If, in fact, he went along with the lie, why try to blow her up now? It sure doesn't make him look
very good & came across as being very mean-spirited & perhaps not very honest. It came across as a vendetta to many of us & in my opinion, was simply a despicable action on his part. Chivalry is still alive & well, huh??

In my eyes, if he was trying to make he look bad,
he certainly didn't paint himself with glory. If
she was a liar, so was he for going along with it. If his goal was to make her look bad, he also
accomplished the same for himself.

Boy this stinks! What was he thinking about & what was he hoping to accomplish? Sounds pretty acrimonious to me!

Juice!!!!! Are you serious? Some people need to learn to shut up, just as you said!!! I don't know what the purpose of that was!!!! I think, just as it has been said on this forum, that some things are better left unsaid. Married or not, if he was with her and with this other person at the same time, he was wrong, especially bringing children in to the world like that. I'm not judging, I'm just saying I don't understand why people do that, famous or not!!! In cases where children are involved, they are the ones who suffer the most. Hopefully as he and others like him get older, they will become wiser. What are they thinking, oh wait a minute, they are not thinking! There is no respect for the wife or girlfriend, especially in terms of spreading diseases, and the same thing goes for women who do it to men, it's just wrong all the way around.
No one is perfect, but when you you've done something wrong and then talk about it with no regret or concern, but with arrogance, what does that say about you and your character? What does it say about you as a human being?
P.S I don't get that radio show, because I'm not in New York, but I have seen her on either VH-1 or MTV. I'm sorry, but I have issues with her and how she interviews and baits people, not feeling her at all, but I guess you have to make a living somehow! I would never let her flip the script on me!!! My folks didn't raise a FOOL!!!

Eli~~~~~~~(LOL)
...those stars/celebrities are human beings, and humans have faults, and do wrong.
That's why we should never worship any Man/Woman in (so~called) high places.
Not only did he go along with the lie, but so did she.
It happened on both sides. Maybe now the Guy is upset that she's with someone else, and now with his bruised ego, wants to bruise her image...and she's allowed all this.
The sad part is...she's the one in the limelight, not him, so he can sit back and talk about it and not have to face an audience...but they both are wrong. It's sad this came public.
I agree with all of the above posts.
...Games people play, night or day they're just not matching...and they never will, as long as folks PLAY GAMES with life.

I'd have to agree with Juice. Brandy's "husband" should have been quiet about the whole thing.

After all this time, and I thought that she was actually married.

Yes, they are human beings, famous or not. In the long run, hopefully he will realize if he hasn't already, that Payback Is A Dog,(no pun intended:-)), what you do will come back to you! Whether they were married or not, that is between them and the man upstairs, but he chose to be inconsiderate & arrogant. Young people have so much to learn!!!

Yeah, still wet....
I really don't want to say anything more about it, so I guess I'll just have to like whatever it is they (celebrities)represent in the world of entertainment...If they can't control what they do, neither can I~~~I will just enjoy their entertainment and leave the role models to the Parents,Teachers, and Preachers and all the other good folks that handle their business and handle themselves the right way.
Sometimes, I think celebrities like to give us something to talk about, so they can stay in the public eye...good or bad.

Not taking sides Dinelle, Charise and Medusa and I don't want to seem mean-spirited. Why is it when a man is in the picture and when a relationship turn sour, it's always the male to get bashed. Brandy Norwood was at the time young and didn't know any better, I assume so. Maybe felt she thought of herself as a full grown woman at the time, you know. But At the same time the man has another woman & and baby, and the press would have a field day dishing dirt the latest gossip scoop snoop mag's. And came out and said what he had to get off his chest before someone will find out, anyway-anyhow-someway-someday? It seems that from what has been posted earlier, dude seemed angry in a recent interview. Believe it ladies, it ain't nuthin' but Hollywood flim flam and oakie dokie publicity stuns. I'm not into the soap opera dramas for folks like us not in the know, I'd rather look at Sanford & Son. Brandy went along with it willingly.

Hey Don,

I'll play the devils' advocate here. He went on the radio show, not her. He admitted that he was involved in a relationship when Brandy had their baby, not her. He admitted that HE was still in a relationship with the woman & that she was 7 months pregnant. Brandy didn't do that, HE DID! This is not about who was wrong, or who did who wrong. They BOTH willingly went along with the charade. In that regard, they are both guilty. However, HE aired that dirty little secret to the most scandalous Radio host in NYC.

The story here is not about who did who right or wrong. The story is about homeboy trying to scandalize Brandy by exposing that secret. That was done with malice & that's what this is about. I'm not bashing him for doing wrong in the relationship.

I'm bashing him for revealing what they BOTH conspired in. This ain't about man vs woman. This is about wrong & wronger! If she lied about being married, she was wrong. However, he shares in the blame for being a co-conspirator, and has compounded it further by trying to make her look bad by exposing her. In trying to make her look bad, he made himself look even worse.

They were both wrong but he is the villain in this particular story. I won't let her off the hook. He had a woman & if she knew it, she was wrong & there's no excuse. I'm sure that she was no shrinking violet. There's plenty of blame for both of them to share.

The bottom line is that dude should have kept his mouth closed. IThat would have been the prudent thing to do. It was all good while it was going on, so what was the need of blasting her on the radio? Now, that seems mean-spirited & I question his motives. Forget about Brandy for a moment, what about their child? Why would he want to hurt the earning potential of his childs' mother? What kind of parent would do that? Every endorsement dollar or movie role that Brandy loses, is a dollar that HIS/THEIR child misses out on. Did he ever stop to realize that perhaps one day HIS child might read this, or be taunted about it? And he can't blame it on "the media", The Enquirer or any other tabloid. They didn't have to dig up anything. He was on the radio singing his heart out for the whole NY-Metro area to hear.

The bottom line is that he was wrong. I guess that his quest for vengance was more important than protecting HIS OWN CHILD from potential scandal.

Who said that chivalry was dead?

That is why I stated in my first post after Juice, that women who do it, are just as bad!!! When you are doing or saying something that is wrong that involves you and others, handle your business as quietly as possible, without putting each other on FRONT STREET!!

Thanks Big D & Re Re. I'm telling you, I'm the kind of man who doesn't kiss & tell. If my left hand was to rub a breast, I wouldn't even tell my right hand what it missed. I learned all about kissing & telling when I was 14. I had myself a cute little girl who I liked & I just knew that I was going to get killed that night. The story goes like this:

Me & the young lady were talking in the schoolyard & the next thing we knew it was dark. We sat there & started kissing & touching, nothing more than that. However, I can still taste that damn Cherry candy that we were eating & that was 30 years ago. I mean that was my first REAL, REAL experience kissing a girl for hours & hours, touching things that I'd never touched for HOURS!!! I mean, I sounded like Helen Keller for the next week, I could barely talk. When we finally came up for air [and I bent over fronting like I had dropped something :-)}, I walked her home & to my horror, I discovered that it was 12:30 A.M..

Suddenly, I didn't have to front anymore. My hormones were scared straight by the idea that my mother was going to kill me. I had never walked in that door later than 10 or 11. Moms didn't play that! God was definitely with me, Mom didn't say a word & I think I told her that I was with a girl. I was just so thankful to Jesus that she didn't explode. I think that secretly she smiled inside & of course I got a little talk about being careful & I appreciatively floated off to bed.

Now, she was going to be my FIRST, you know? Now, my cousin had set me up with a few little girls when I was nine & pervert that he was, instructed me about what I was supposed to do. (THANKS CUZ!!!)He even offered one of his "friends" to hook me up. Now, I was a fine & energetic young man but somehow, I just couldn't see my little 9 year-old self trying to tackle a 20 year-old. I wasn't going to play myself like that. That would have killed my poor little ego.

But this, was signed, sealed & just about to be delivered & I was coming to collect. Of course when I saw her again, it was not a fun experience for me to say the least. She wasn't exactly basking in the afterglow. I mean, it was the dead of Summer, 90 degrees at dusk & homegirl shot me a look that immediately reduced the temperature to about 12 degrees Farenheit.

Of course, the next day, the fellas had asked me about it, as they had kept finding a way to conveniently walk through the park the night before....10 TIMES!!! Naturally, budding young stud that I was, filled them in on all of the details. I was like: "I'm Macho Man, I got her all wrapped up cause I'm Macho Man". Naturally, one of my "friends" (lowdown snake in the grass) liked the girl & proceeded to tell her everything that I told them & even added some wonderful embellishments of his own.

Stupid me was wondering what was wrong, what did I do, what did I do. I mean, I was her baby. Well, she proceeded to tell me word for word what I had told them & every stupid cocky & bragging word that I had said. Needless to say she wasn't my first, my second, my last, my ANYTHING!!! I went from "SURE THING" to "NOTHING" in the space of 24 hours. To make matters worse, my tongue was still so sore that I could barely talk to her. I'm up there sounding like some Ugandan on a National Geographic special: "Ummph, Ummph.. me no say dat, me no say dat, uggh..him lie, HIMMM LIIIIIIIE". Well, Lamont's fish weren't bitin' in '74 & neither was she. Like the song said: "I ain't catchin'...NOTHIN', NOTHIN'".

I guess that I don't have to tell you who ended up with the girl, now do I???

So, I learned a few valuable lessons that day:

1. When it comes to competing for the attentions of the fairer sex, you have no friends.

2. He who beats his own drum may truly end up...ummm... BEATING his OWN drum!

3. Keep your business YOUR BUSINESS!!!

4. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

5. It's not your house until the mortage is paid in full.

6. Never embarass someone who cares for you.

7. Seal the deal before you hold the press conference.

8. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush...just don't brag about it to your "friends"

9. Loose lips sink ships.

10. Be careful because someone's always gonna be after your Lucky Charms.

I bumped into her a few years ago & even though more than 25 years had passed, she still reminded me of that incident & we laughed about it. Never did get those Lucky Charms. I wonder if they were magically delicious :-) :-)

I'll never know, but even if I knew, I'D NEVER TELL!!!

We didn't need to know all of those DETAILS! So, that means that "reality show" on MTV was a charade! I knew that he acted like a jerk to her on that show, not doing the right thing and telling her things like, "that's your job" when she was trying to get him involved preparing for the baby. I mean, it all makes sense now.

Hi all!!

Nosey: thank you for the compliment. Now, I wouldn't want to be the cause of any trouble for you. You gotta try to laugh a little quieter, ya know :-)

Medusa: They tell me that a gallon of juice doesn't have a high price tag these days. It seems that they found a juice glut in Nepal somewhere. The stock went way down & trading is very light :-( Fortunately, this is the "New & Improved" Juice, skrait of da vines of Brooklyn. It's a manly Juice, it is. But....don't let the smooth taste fool ya! It'll get cha sprung dere girrlll!!! :-)

Don: You are correct. There is the matter of right & wrong. I excuse no one. They BOTH were wrong & both should be paddled in a public forum for attempted deception of her fans. For their indescretions, they should be forced to listen to The Lettermens' version of Somebody Told A Lie & Gilbert O'Sullivans' Alone Again....Naturally :-)
Somehow, I don't believe that they'll be singing Reunited anytime in the near or distant future.

Lady M: For as bad as Wendy is, she was even a bit appalled by his statements. During the interview, she called him on air a "scandalous F***. You know that you're low, if Wendy says so :-) Anyone who can disgust Wendy has to have done something pretty low!!! I only saw bits & pieces of that show when she was pregnant. I wonder if they'll air it again. I didn't see what you did, I'd love to see the before & after.

By the way, I'm not bad. I'm good...really....I am. But then again, as Barry once sang & I'll paraphrase: sometimes you can be so GOOOOD, that you're BAAAADD! I don't know if that applies to me....you see. I've never been to me :-) :-)

My last salvo here is best summed by by The Scott Twins & it goes a little something like this: "There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, from what you really are inside. You never gain by telling lies, the truth wears no disguise....IN THE RAW"!!!

Words to meditate upon :-)

Hey Don,

Re-post your comments. I've accidentally erased posts of my own. If it had been edited by one of our moderators, his name would have appeared following your post. Plus, every now & then, posts end up in different threads or disappear. I don't think that any of our moderators deleted you, as you have been pretty even & well mannered with your posts.

Trust me, it's happened to more than a few of us before, even when posting record info. Don't take it personally, I think that it was a glitch. Sometimes these computers seem to have a mind of their own. Please try again.

Hey Lady M, I agree fully. I hope that she covered herself. Another thing that really bothers me is that he praised the way that Halle treated his daughter. Now, he wants to shoot her through the grease??

I know how difficult it can be to tackle another persons' child. Sometimes, the child is angry with you because you're not their biological parent. It's not always an easy transition to make.

Sometimes, everything goes smoothly, with a minimum of hitches. That's the way that ole Eric made it sound....until he got caught with the proverbial trousers down. Now, Halles' Mommie Dearest. That's just not fair. I applaud Halle for attempting to fill in for the childs' deceased mother. I remember an interview where Mr Sensitivity was in tears speaking about being a young widower, raising his daughter all alone, until Halle came along. I'm willing to bet that that child was a major chip in that relationship. How could you not feel for a motherless child. I'm willing to bet that he played it to the hilt. That's just my opinion, I've seen that done on numerous occasions. It's just not right if he's manipulating his child, that's just plain wrong.

Just heard on WBBM here in Chicago that Brandy and Quentin Richardson are engaged to be married. He gave her an 11-carat ring (BLING BLING SQUARED).

I can't believe that Robert Smith has another girlfriend who's seven months pregnant.

Hi all!!

Dinelle: According to him, they had never broken up. He said that they had been together throughout the whole pregnancy. Now, that I think of it, I can probably guess why he exposed this whole thing. As he stated that he was still with the other young lady throughout, suddenly the picture's becoming clearer. I still disagree with what he did, but, the light bulb has lit up the room.

Another thing I'm sick of it the way these folks fall in & out of love, like a kid gets that tires of playing with a toy. Wasn't it like yesterday when our femme fatale was "in love" & "spiritually connected" to this dude??? Now, 15 minutes, she's engaged to be married, yet again???? I mean, does love even mean anything to these folks when it seems to be so damn disposable to them??? They need to get Websters & look up the meaning of the word. Love is simply not THAT easy to find & anyone who's ever really been in love knows that you just can't turn it on & off as easy as these folks do.

They need to get their heads out of the clouds & re-visit us back here on Planet Earth. If they continue "falling in love" at this rate, they're going to end up being some very miserable & dysfunctional people.

A voice coach wouldn't help Brit, believe me! I like to look at her, but with the volume at -3.

Hi folks!!

Jrlo: Another shining example for TIFKAM (The Institution Formerly Known As Marriage). Didn't Ms Brittney just recently "Marry" an old buddy as a Lark???? Damn, love just ain't what it used to be.

LadyM: Yes, it is!! All of these idols are sending some very bad messages to their young fans. And this is what the industry holds up as role models!!! I can't believe that I'm about to say this but, this nonsense almost makes one long for those corny days of Leave It To Beaver & The Brady Bunch. At least there was a semblance of morality & love. This world has just gone plum loco.

As Al Hudson & One Way sang: "I Wish That Could Go Back To Yesterday".
