Eli: Do you happen to know session guitarist Tom Coppola & have any contact info ? He & his wife Googie did a project on CBS that got NO promotion & NO airplay...but is still blowing people away close to 30 years later. |

Googie has a voice from heaven...I kid you not;o)) Being playing their Columbia 1980 release to DEATH .."Shine The Light Of Love" for the last 5 years on the now defunkt www.soul24-7.com ...especially the track 'Nothing In This World' ...sends a SHIVER right through me even thinking of it. If any of you see it, snap it up straight away; without question. The whole LP is magical ...on a gospel tip too! To look at these peeps on the inner sleeve one could be forgiven for believing that this music didn't come from them..BWOY be prepared to be BLOWN AWAY!!!!! To give you an idea for similarity insofar as what they are like, musically, think of Pauline Wilson & the Seawind camp..with those great arrangements/layers. One other project that I know that they have been involved in is with the late Herbie Mann (R.I.P). They teamed up with Arnold McCuller to form Fire Island on his Herbie Mann & Fire Island LP - Atlantic - 1977 for some nice vocal tracks, espec. 'Once I Had A Love'(very similar to Special Delivery's 'This Kind Of Love') & 'Welcome Sunrise' & 'You Are The Song'...worth checking! Jester. |

Jester, c'mon man..you're givin' up too much info ! Now I'll NEVER find a "clean" copy for myself ! (LOL) (My copy is shot...but my nephew just found a promo copy in great condition.) But on the real Eli, Jester was right on in his description. The whole LP is simply magical. Googie has an incredible voice...with a purity and innocence that is seldom heard these days. I hate to throw names out there...but much of what she does is reminiscent of early Deniece Williams. I have one cut on my PC & I just wish I could send you the mp3 file. (Hmmmm...I'll bet Wonder B has a "clean" copy...) |

Wonder B If you mess with the 'fro, you gotta go! |

Handsome, The background vocals on Dusty's LP were the Mello Moods/Swans who were Jean and Tina Thomas with Miki Farrow. Wicked, Try compressing it and send it again. |

Eli: Not being the most computer literate person, I don't know how to compress the file further. (Since it was already compressed from WAV to mp.3) |

My e mail client only handles up to 10000 kb at any given time so if my total email messages add up to over that amound it will bounce. I have never had any problem receiving mp3's before so try again. In the words of Phil Spector,"back to mono!" E. |
