Hello All:

I must say it has been an interesting week with our two fearless Scotsman in the Motor City.

Drinking, no excuse me pounding Scotch & Brews at Lowell's with fella's I had just met a couple of hours earlier. Much fun now as it was in my 20's, not so much fun the next day at 6:00 when I got up for work. Just can't seem to bounce back as quick, oh I know why !! When I was in my 20's I was a club jock who slept until 3:00 in the afternoon, no wonder drinking never bothered me then !! duh !

The SD45CC Shindig !! major fun - check out the thread for the 50 + photo's - records SD folks and local N.Soul artist. Great time again.

The Darrell Banks Memorial, difficult but soul satisfying even with it's heartbreak and emotions. Met wonderful people and felt a kindship that I will never forget.

Birthday night with Harry & David a unique experience that shows we are truly all alike no matter where we come from in the world.

To everybody I met and spent time with this week. Thanks it was my pleasure and I enjoyed every moment of it. To the folks who couldn't make it and we wished you where here, thanks for your kind words and encouragement and to Ralph, I believe that the phone call monthly is working okay for now, we will let you know when the court order gets lifted and you can come within 500 feet again!!! :-) lol

Well I will post the last few photo's of the intrepid duo and be done with this Feast of Haggas, Scotch, Summer Brewed Pints and KILLER DETROIT SOUL MUSIC.

Remember it can only be found in D-Town!!
Peace!!

David at the computer playing Northern Soul MP3s till he was silly!! about 2 1/2 hours worth

David and a few lp's

David and the Wall of Sound 45's that is. There where a few to choose from.

Harry with the never ending always present smile!!
Listening to the MP3 grooves

Why does it seem that beer and soul music work so well together?? Yes virginia those are record boxes every where!!!

We went to an Irish pub John Galloways in Farmington Hill. After David had introduced me to some of Scotlands Mother's Milk (Scotch) He let down the pretence and admitted he was really a rock n roller who dug cover versions of Scritty Pollitti tunes!!!

I guess to wrap it up I can only say it was an old school weekend in D-Town, Michigan!

Had a great time with me new mates Harry, Lowell & David and really enjoyed everyones company all week long!

The next SD45CC will be hard pressed to top this last one!!

Brian - I was wondering when you would put a photo of that yello corvette on the Forum. :-)
Nice car. It made my Toyota look like a piece of steel.

Brian,
One more time let me extend my thanks for all your efforts this past week. It's obvious a good time was had by all. Get that court order lifted and you can never tell when I might show up. Meanwhile I'll continue to phone.

Many thanks for the photos Brian. We had a great time at your home. Pity the rain stopped us making a big splash at your pool.

But the music made up for it!
