Hi guys. Dinelle here. I just got back from Houston early this morning. I had a lot of fun. I went to Astroworld with my sister. One of my souvenirs that I treasure is my new Selena CD. I don't why, but I love Tejano music as much as I love R&B. I know that most of you guys love R&B, but do you like other forms of music as well? |

Neo Soul is stuff like Musiq Soulchild and the like. Gangsta polka was just a comedic reference, or was it? Just envision the Lawrence Welk orchestra wearing throwback jerseys, baggy jeans, bling jewelry, backwards caps and sneekers and playing polka renditions of songs such as P.I.M.P., Jigga my ni**a, Hot in herre, 99 problems,F**k the police and such. a one- a a two-a a three-a a four-a .... |

Ha-Ha. Very funny, Paulie. Bobby, I don't think that I could picture the Lawrence Welk orchestra like that. |

Dinelle, Do you remember that album by Pat Boone released several years ago called "In a Metal Mood" where he was all decked out in leather and tattoos? He even appeared at the Grammys with that getup on. I believe that he sang Enter Sandman by Metallica!!!! |

You heard it here first: the next big trend in modern music will be...AMISH SNUFF METAL. Your kids will love it and we will all hate it. The horse and buggy drive-bys are pretty hilarious, though. You have been warned! |

Hey guys. Bobby, I hope I wasn't around that time when Pat Boone was at the Grammys wearing leather and tattoos. I can't see him like that. Brian, I'll keep the info about Amish Snuff Metal and tell all my friends. I don't know if it'll be the next big thing, though. |

In reference to the original question: Born & raised Chi-Town, so I gotta love the Blues and Gospel. I like my Jazz both Trad or Smooth, as long as the rhythm section doesn't sound like wallpaper (no drum machines please) Salsa Funk Rock And I have very bad Pop music streak |

That would be CHICAGO my dear. My kind of town! Eli, I also remember Boone doing talk shows in his metal garb. It was pretty disgusting, although we was in good shape for a guy his age. |

Hi Dinelle; Nice trip! I like: Traditional Gospel Outlaw Country Artists(Willie Nelson & great vocalists like Patsy Cline). Traditional Standards Jazz Vocals (The tourch kind, as in Jimmy Scott & Dinah Washington). Some Doo Wop(like The 5 Keys & The Moonglows) Some early Jump Blues (like Lionel Hampton & Louis Jordon). Most Rhythm & Blues (classic, of course). Most Soul Style Music (classic, sweet, urban, & down home). Reggae(from Jamaica). Calypso(from all the Carib Islands Mon). Soca(is a combination of Soul & Calypso, Dinelle, originated in the islands). A bit of Pop (as in Bette Midler). Some Blues like Bobby 'Blue' Bland Well, Dinelle, I guess that pretty much covers it. Songstess; Jimmy & I, met Detrick Haddon's mother on a airplane last year. She talked about her son & daughter's gospel singing, and also mentioned her husband's church in Detroit. Said she was a minister with her own congregation, on her way from Detroit to Philly to be honored at a church there as a speaker. She was dressed to the nines, first class all the way. Small world. S.S. |
