Last night a bunch of us including Vonnie, Vickie of SD, who was here in town for a week, and a bunch more friends went to the Rock and Soul Revue starring Hall and Oates, Michael Mc Donald, and AWB at the tweeter Center over in New Jersey.

The show was sold out and one of the best Ive ever seen especially after H&O finished their set and EVERYONE came out and sang and played on each others songs and then some!

The spectacle of Michael Mc Donald singing duets with Daryl on the H&O stuff like You make my dreams , Rich Girl and Since I lost my baby and more and Daryl singing what a fool believes, and all of them doing a rousing version of Hot fun in the summertime were awesome.

The show went on for over four hours!!
My personal highlight was backstage when John Oates gave me an autographed copy of his solo cd that read " Bobby, check ot my backbeats, I got em from you"!!, and when AWB gave us some of that Famous Grouse!!!

Hey Bobby,

Thanks again for an awesome time...The highlight for me was Michael singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" THE ENTIRE HOUSE STOOD AND SANG EVERY WORD!!
I was honored to talk to Michael about Ms. Tammi Terrell....

Good Stuff!!!

Your back beats rock forever! You and Vonnie are so dear and special to me..

I love you both!!!!

love Vickie

Hey ELI! That sounded like a blast! There is a songwriters Hall Of Fame show on tv here on the west coast at 9pm tonight. Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong as well as Daryl Hall and John Oates are some of this years inductees.

Eli - When talking with Ali Woodson, we mentioned your name, and informed him that you post on SD, as well as other artist.

Thank you kindly Sis.
I sure do appreciate it.
I would have loved to have been there but duty called and I had to support my homeboys Hall and Oates on the Philly leg of their Rock and Soul tour.

If it hasnt come to Detroit as of yet, it is a must see, especialy the part of the show where they all sing one another's songs.
Monumental stuff indeed!!

I know Leo.
My thoughts exactly!!

I know that T.O.P. work all the time and it would be a scheduling conflict but if that were possible, look out!!

Eli,

Oh Man ! Tower of Power is going to be in Fort Wayne two days after the H&O Detroit Gig. I'll have to write their agent and suggest they arrange a "pick up" gig in Detroit !!! Join the bill guys !!

TOP in Ft.Wayne

I always monitor www.bumpcity.com the Tower web site for tour dates. TOP rarely books Detroit and I have travelled several times to see them.

Leo B
