We were in the United Sound Studio last week. They've done a great job.

David & Souaholic:
Thanks for the NEW Detroit recording studio database for this era. It would be as par-perfect if the history of United Sound were to be written, from the then, to what it was, to its demise, as well as it its Phoenix rising. Unlike EMI Abbey Road (opened in 1933) and Avatar(what was Power Station, from 1977) Studios, as well as Manhattan Center Studios (both in NYC, and have great websites, too!), United Sound needs its own history on a page itself. We hope that Don Davis would contribute to this story.
Lest we hope that Davis didn't install a "cop bust buzzer" at the recpitionist door like at Wally Heider Recording in San Francisco in the 1970's (true story, but funny!)

41 years of life coming September 13,
Uncle Derrald

Talking of Don Davis, anyone know what he is doing these days? Is Groovesville still in business (as a label or just publishing)??

Hi Mike S.
Read Soulaholic's thread at the top.
Didn't I hear once about a few yrs ago that Don Davis did a tour in Europe of his Groovesville Revue? I don't know if it we're the name of the tour or not. I read it in a past thread here. I'm wondering if he's still touring with his Revue shows?

Don
